ICsense has upgraded its quality management system, development flow and safety culture to comply with the automotive safety requirements. More than 7 mixed-signal and high-voltage ASICs have been developed according to ISO26262 for functional safety automotive products. Examples of applications are throttle-by-wire, gear box control and vehicle communication (CAN, SENT, …). The ASICs are typically ASIL B level, while the end product is ASIL C/D. “The focus of ICsense has always been on quality and reliability. Therefore it was a natural step for us to invest in the implementation of safety management. We have formalized our requirements and change management, FME(D)A process, approval processes and confirmation measures to minimize the chance of systematic failures.” says Bram De Muer, CEO of ICsense. ICsense’s ASIC development flow is according to ISO/TS16949 requirements.
