Wireless power and data links for implants and wearable devices

ICsense is a leading provider of custom ASIC solutions with specialized expertise in wireless power and data transfer technologies for medical implants and wearable devices. Our innovations enable efficient battery charging for active implants and even battery-free operation for passive implants—reducing the need for surgical interventions and enhancing patient comfort.

Our solutions are based on electromagnetic coupling between coils, operating across a wide frequency spectrum (from kHz to MHz), and supporting low to moderate data rates. ICsense has developed, proprietary inductive links, RFID-based protocols (13.56 MHz), customized NFC (Near Field Communication) protocols. These protocols are engineered for ultra-low power consumption and optimized for maximum energy transfer efficiency. A standout example is our adaptation of the ISO15693 NFC protocol, which enables reliable power delivery to implants located several centimeters deep within the body. With over 20 years of experience and ISO 13485 certification, ICsense ensures high-performance, safe, and reliable solutions for medical device manufacturers worldwide.

Expertise in Automotive Interfaces

ICsense designs and develops custom automotive ASICs with integrated on-chip transceivers and sensor interfaces, enabling compact, reliable, and standards-compliant solutions for next-generation vehicle electronics. Our ASICs incorporate multiple automotive PHY transceivers (se below). These are complemented by active voltage sampling for precise diagnostics and system monitoring. ICsense ASICs are built on high-voltage BCD and SOI technologies, supporting voltages up to 200 V, and are fully compliant with EMC and ISO pulse standards such as ISO 16750-2 and ISO 7637-2.

With deep expertise in automotive-grade mixed-signal ASIC design, ICsense delivers robust, space-efficient, and highly reliable solutions that meet the stringent requirements of the automotive industry.
