Frederiek, Project Manager

ADD TEXT MARIJKE ****

What inspired your interest in joining an ASIC design & supply company?

I was the kind of child who would take apart watches and radios simply to understand how they worked. I also enjoyed building with Lego and Meccano. That curiosity led me to electrical engineering.

What is your current job focus?

As a Project Manager, I oversee the project execution. I need to make sure the team focusses on the right priorities, has all the required inputs to be efficient and there are no loose ends. I identify and mitigate risks and manage the project budget and planning. It is a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities.

How does your work contribute to real-world applications?

Without proper project management, there is a bigger chance the project fails because of wrong architectural choices, unidentified showstoppers and budget overruns. Thanks to my strong technical background as former analog design engineer, I support the team in making the right choices and decisions that lead to a real product.

What do you enjoy most about working with the ICsense team?

Several things. I like the cooperative spirit that comes with working toward a common goal (building an ASIC that meets the customer needs). I appreciate the high-quality methodology ICsense deploys on its projects and the structured approach it applies to its developments. I am also happy to work for an employer that is people oriented. At ICsense, people are treated with respect. Their efforts and contributions are valued and their suggestions and feedback are thoughtfully considered to make work processes leaner.

How would you describe the ICsense company culture in one word - and why?

Togetherness. There is a true team spirit at ICsense, where collaboration makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. This is the result of a people-oriented culture and I am sure the regular team events also add to that.
