Background
In February 2004, ICsense has been founded by 4 PhDs in micro-electronics, as spin-off of the department ESAT-MICAS from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Belgium. As such, ICsense is backed-up by more than 30 years of experience and research in analog and mixed-signal IC design.
ICsense is a privately held company.

Vision
The evolution of micro-electronics is no longer based solely on increasing computing power for a lower cost (“More Moore”). The new paradigm is interaction with humans and/or the environment, requiring hybrid micro-systems. At the heart of these systems are interfaces with sensors, actuators, MEMS, displays and an ever growing diversity of other interfacing means (“More than Moore”) with the lowest ecological footprint.

The vision of ICsense is to leverage its analog, mixed-signal and high-voltage core expertise in these new domains to enable new developments and products for its customers. ICsense expertise is focused on energy-efficient interfacing solutions for sensors and actuators with data acquisition, MEMS, RFID and high-voltage (drivers) complemented with leading edge power management. ICsense tackles these developments by maintaining a close working relationship with its customers and partners, having a highly skilled and passionate engineering team, a structured IC design methodology and ISO 9001:2000 certified quality procedures.

Mission
The mission of ICsense is to be the number one partner for mixed-signal and high-voltage IC developments from blocks to ASICs. We pursue long term relationships with our customers by earning trust and by developing innovative ICs with higher added value and lower cost. Being independent allows us to offer the best trade-offs, both technically and economically. We continuously strive to uphold our excellent track record of successful designs, many of which are now in production.

ICsense is an enabler of innovative ASIC turnkey solutions beyond the existing solutions on the market and tailored to the customers’ applications and products. We leverage our ASIC expertise by cooperating with dedicated partners and subcontractors to offer low cost sensing solutions, from concept to product, with the lowest power, highest performance and smallest form factor.
