A +80% efficiency capacitive DC-DC for passive, energy-scavenging RFID tags
ICsense implemented a fully integrated capacitive DC-DC in a 0.18u CMOS technology. This power management unit is a differential voltage doubler topology that handles input ranges between 1.8V and 2.2V. To maximize the cost-efficiency, we designed for a minimal area, while maintaining an excellent efficiency of more than 80%.
