      Our services  More cases

One of our strengths is integrating sensor interfaces for a.o magnetic sensors. As an example, our engineers developed a highly-accurate and fully integrated Hall sensor magnetic ASIC. Starting, we contributed to the development of the Hall sensor itself, trading-off parameters such as area, structure and sensitivity on system level. To reduce the inherent offset, we have implemented a quad layout of 4 Hall plates with 90° current direction and current spinning. The signal conditioning chain consists of low-offset, low-noise amplifiers and V/I conversion. The ADC is a 15-bit extended counting delta-sigma with an equivalent LSB current of 1.4nA LSB.

    Features:

    • Quad Hall sensor integration with 90° current direction
    • Current spinning
    • Low-offset, low-noise instrumentation
    • 15-bit extended counting delta sigma ADC
    • Sensitivity of 0.4uT/LSB
    • Offset < 6mT
    • RMS noise of less than 0.5uTrms for a current of a few 100uA
    • 0.18um CMOS technology
    • Temperature range: -40°C to 85°C
