ICsense has developed several ultralow-power ADCs typically for sensor/MEMS data acquisition. Our engineers have refined a technique to trade-off the resolution, power and area using the same ADC topology. This topology can easily be ported to different technology nodes.
Examples:
Low-area, low-power MEMS read-out ADC
- 13 bit (> 12 ENOB)
- 5kS/s
- 0.05mm2
- < 8uA current consumption
- 1.62-3.6V
- Continuous time extended counting (current mode)
12-bit, 200kS/s SAR ADC
- 0.45mm2
- 450uA including reference buffers
- -40°C to 200°C operation
- Ultralow-voltage operation
15-bit, 1.4nA LSB Hall sensor read-out ADC
- 0.15mm2
- 1.6-1.8V
- 680uA (noise limited)
- Continuous-time extended counting
