In cooperation with Tego Inc. and Easics, ICsense has developed an EPC RFID Class-1 Generation-2 UHF RFID compliant passive RFID tag. This tag was selected by Airbus to be used on their newest airplanes. It is exceptional because of the extended memory of 32kbytes and the interface capabilities. Other commercial tags have maximally 512bits of memory. Moreover, the memory can retain its data for over 20 years due to careful memory - charge pump co-design. The IC has been integrated in a 0.18µm CMOS technology. For more information, read the full article.
