ICsense has developed a complete ASIC for brain or nerve stimulation, including power management, high-voltage generation, stimulation and recording. The stimulation electronics rely on custom ultralow-power high-voltage circuits that can deliver an accurate charge to the brain and extract an identical charge. The recording part consists of sensitive high-voltage instrumentation amplifiers that can detect small brain responses in the presence of large stimulation artifacts through a proprietary artifact prediction and reduction technique.

    Features:

    • Complete SoC with simultaneous high-gain recording and high-voltage stimulation with artifact reduction
    • Precise instrumentation of brain/nerve signals on high-voltage common mode levels
    • High voltage (implemented in 50V 0.35um BCD)
    • High-voltage DACs and bi-directional switches
    • Accurate charge delivery: highly accurate DACs with fast settling and fast transients
    • Power consumption of a few uA for micro-second settling
    • I3T50 technology
